Originally from Liverpool, England, I have enjoyed over thirty years of film experience shooting in twelve foreign countries but mainly in the UK and USA.
Filmmaking produces so many creative challenges. Imaginative problem-solving and collaboration are essential to find solutions that add to the project without sacrificing artistic merit.
It’s all about visual storytelling and the intricate details that help propel the story forward. I strive to create an atmosphere, a complete world for the characters and Director to live within, on time and within budget.
My catalogue of work includes three Academy Award nominated films for Production Design, a BAFTA win for Les Misérables and a number of ADG and BFDG Awards.
However, sitting in a cinema and looking up at the big screen with all that we’ve achieved is still the greatest reward.
